My dealer called today to tell me Henry accepted the order. Now the wait begins ...

Have not seen a single H012GCC for sale anywhere, EXCEPT for the crazy over-priced items on Gunbroker or Guns.com. Haven't heard a peep from my dealer. Just debating (with myself) how long I'm willing to wait. Initially I gave it a hard line in the sand of May 1, 2023, but now I'm rethinking that.

I keep seeing the color-case hardened Uberti and Taylor & Co. (Same Manufacturer)Model 1873's in .357 Magnum coming available every couple weeks, locally, and I'm getting tempted. No doubt I'd rather have the Henry, but I'm not willing to wait 8-12 months for it. Decisions.

Any thoughts either way? Opinions always welcome ;-)

I think the wait is par for the market now for awhile.

I contacted Henry twice about my 357 CCH carbine I had ordered and paid for, the second time was after 10 months and I emailed Anthony Imperato directly. He was unavailable at the time but the email was picked up by the guy covering him and I got my gun within 10 days. I guess I got lucky there was one available, but it can't hurt to contact them.

Did the same to setup my order, nearly identical to the process you described. My dealer ordered without a deposit, even though I was willing to put one down. They know they can turn around and sell it quickly for a reasonable price, even without a markup. Although I ordered end of October, I've been searching for one a much longer timeframe, many months.

Just debating. I agree with Mags that this is par for the course these days, on many of these products. Thanks for your feedback.

Well, it was worth the long wait ... My color case-hardened .44M H012GCC came in and I just picked it up from my Henry dealer. Absolutely beautiful (I'm a bit biased :D ).

I'll post some photos this weekend. Here's just 1 teaser ...
