I'm not nearly as upset about the delays themselves as I am about the excuses and encouragements I've received from Henry customer service.
I've been in contact with Henry customer service in regards to the Big Boy steel .327mag since late January.
Each and every month I'm told that, "there have been unexpected delays in production, but they are back on track, and should start shipping in the next couple of weeks.
When I said something to the customer service rep that I had already heard that excuse, all I was told was, "I'm sorry sir, but that's the only information I've been given.

It's one thing to experience delays.
It's another thing entirely to keep making promises you're unable to keep.

I think they would have been much better served to not release a ship date after the first delay.
They should have just said, "Coming soon".

Looks like some are shipping. There are 2 on gunbroker.

When I saw this post I immediately called Henry customer service.
I was told, AGAIN, that the Henry Big Boys in steel and chambered for .327 Fed/mag HAVE NOT YET SHIPPED!
Buyer beware, that GunBroker ad is evidently fake.
He's selling something he doesn't have possession of.

Edit-
Contacted both sellers on GunBroker.
One has returned my correspondence stating they received the rifle yesterday, but they do have it in stock.
That's great, but why is customer service still telling me that they have NOT yet shipped, but will begin, "...in the next couple of weeks..."

Got another email from Henry customer service today.
The lady said that the Big Boy steel model .327's were just now beginning to ship (even though 2 sold on GubBroker last week), but due to a "large back order Henry is currently in the process of ramping up production on these models".

She told me that my drop-ship order was "on file with all the needed information, and would be processed in the order it was received".

I still have no idea when my rifle will ship, but at least I know that they have my order on file...

Which specific model did you request?

Hello all! Been just a reader for some time, this is my first post. Got a call from my dealer that my 327 steel carbine was in so now I'm the owner of my long awaited new rifle. The inspection tag said it was all cleared to go on july 21st. Dealer was first in line(put in my order feb 22nd) and distributor got only one, so my luck held out. Won't be able to get to the range till next week but hopes are high.

I put my request in back in January and have been checking with my dealer periodically ever since. I hadn't checked with him in a couple weeks and was pleasantly surprised when he called. Hang in there Mgderf it won't be long now.

I asked for the carbine but said I'd take what ever he could get so I'm not sure which is coming.

There have been a few on gunbroker for sale but the demand has been high so the prices they are selling at reflect this.
I'll wait till they have been out for a while and pay regular pricing for one.

I picked this up yesterday. It will be this weekend before I get a chance to try it out. It fed several different cast bullets in 327 and one I tried in 32 H&R with no trouble.

Now they're teasing me!
It's o.k. though.
I got an email today from my contact at Henry.

I was told, "We will be shipping this by the end of the week", and the email contained 3 downloads.
Well, this is fantastic news, I think...

The only order I have in at Henry is for a new Big Boy steel rifle (20" barrel) in .327 Federal magnum.
Problem is, none of the pictures will load on my computer, so I can't tell what they're shipping.
The model number isn't included.

At any rate, I have A Henry on the way!!!
