Finally got out with the 45-70 after Mag-Na-Porting and Limb Saver recoil pad. Well, of course, it still kicks, but much more controlled now. Much more pleasant to shoot. However, I committed the cardinal sin when trying to fix something. Instead of changing one thing, I changed 2 things. Now I don't know which of the two could have possibly solved the problem by themselves! Now to work on the sights, as adding a peep sight has caused me to run out of sight adjustments. I ordered a different front sight from Skinner, and it should be here next week. The fun continues!
