Seems like the prices that the new Marlin 1895s are going for.

Some people just have more money than sense.
No way I'm payin two prices for anything that can be had at the normal price if I wait a little longer.
There was an old Marlin 336 new in the box from the mid 70's that sold on there this past Winter for 10-15 times what it should have brought.

Wow! That is a lot. Some people might refer to it as an antique. I agree; I typically do not pay more for things than they are worth. To me, worth is defined by usability. If I can get a long use out of something, I may pay more. But, twice the MSRP for a Marlin or Henry is more than I am willing to pay. I would probably wait also or consider an another manufacturer.

I tend to buy expensive things like the Snap-On tools and tool box , simplicity mower and blower, even tableware. Sometimes I’ll pay ten times for a brand I like yet I won’t pay above MSRP.

My wife and I toyed with the idea of replacing her Explorer with an Expedition and stopped into our local Ford dealer where we have purchased a few cars over the years. They had a beautiful Expedition on the floor that had a side sticker of $5,000.00 above msrp. Understand that there is a supply problem with cars out there but this was just stupid. We left!

A crook is always a crook. Problem is someone will buy it probably. Love all the return fee's that go with the return.
