First Spring season with solar power....

and it's kicking butt! Last month bill was 14 bucks and looks like just a basic Meter charge for rest of Spring and Summer!

congrats, sounds like you got a good one .... we had solar panels installed on our roof back when Jimmy Carter was President .... the kind of system that heats water .... even without the tax credit it paid for itself many times over .... I never want another, just too much effort required .... the kind of system that produces electricity has to be much better

Yes the technology and panel performance has improved over the years.

I'd love to install them, but my house faces East and the Southern and Western exposures are currently blocked by evergreen trees. It could only be productive during a couple of summer months for a short time when the sun was high and directly overhead.

Good to live in an area where it's viable. Not enough sunny days in a year here for it to be efficient.
