Painting My House

Post by Sir Henry » Tue Nov 08, 2022 11:30 am

I’m talking to a woman at Java Junction and she said she painted my house. I’ve also met the person that did the drywall. Now the conversation about painting my house wasn’t making any sense until I realized she was talking about an oil painting of my home.

What is really nice is the painting was for sale and I bought it. I’ll pick it up later this week.

Can't beat that. An original right from the artist.

A lot of people have told me they have seen a few ten second clips on tv and it’s been featured a few times too. I’m still amazed I actually bought it!

Your house looks to be a popular target for a painting. Isn’t this your second painting you have discovered?

Can’t say I am surprised, such a classic setting in rural America.

That really is a nice house you found, and it is as pretty as a picture. Great find. :D

I don't think our house is pretty enough for a painting. I would love to have a painting of the north pasture looking down on the pond and trees, especially now with them in color for the fall. Better yet, an aerial shot of the property from a low overhead pass showing the property as it is now. We have made some nice improvements since the last google earth pass.

You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.

It’s the third. What is neat is the painting was done this summer while I was living in the house.

It’s been featured in many magazines and on TV. This was taken when it was white so the article is more than 15 years old.

I live on Ring School Rd and this is the single room Ring School. It is 300 yards to the east and I see the back of it from my house.

There are many schools in the area. This one is about five miles away.

The tower on Timms Hill is about 3,000 yards away and I can see it from my front porch.

I really love it here in rural Wisconsin. It’s not just the land and buildings. The people here are wonderful. In the middle of posting this a neighbor dropped off some blueberry turnovers.
