Asian Beetles

Post by Sir Henry » Wed Oct 05, 2022 9:02 am

I had a fly problem for about three weeks. They don’t eat human food and don’t carry diseases as they are vegetarians.

Now that they are mostly gone I’m getting Asian Beetles. They look a lot like ladybugs and don’t do any damage. Both the flies and beetles are nuisances rather than a real problem. I spend the first ten minutes of everyday vacuuming up dead flies and beetles although now the flies are mostly gone.

What I’m told it they are both attracted to white and my house has white trim which means they are mostly around the doors and windows.

I get swarms of the beetles this time of year. I hear they bite but I have yet to be assaulted. I am having stink bugs trying to sneak in now. Couple years ago I was killing 2-3 a day all winter long. Hope we don't do that again.

This time of year on warmer sunny days the stink bugs are on about every window screen.
