Life in the country isn't always peaceful

Post by GunnyGene » Fri Aug 26, 2022 10:23 am

A woman was attacked by a rabid fox in her own yard in rural NY yesterday. A firearm would have been useful in this situation. I can relate to this since I live out in the woods myself and have a variety of potentially dangerous critters that show up in my yard from time to time, including fox among others, and an attack is never predictable. Which is why I am always armed outside even if only for a few minutes.

Nobody could shoot and kill that animal, maybe a blast of pepper spray would be effective IF you saw it coming and could get it out in time. I once tried to do that to a dog that was attacking mine, using a Pepper Blaster, I could not get close enough and he was moving way too fast..
