Yes, there really IS a copperhead in the picture.

WOW took a while but I found it I always wonder how much wildlife we just walk right past without notice.

.22 shot shells and a S&W model 63 are pretty handy on the snakes and meadow mice.

22 shot shells are great, 410 with light 2" or 2.5" even better. So much so single barrel 410's are often referred to as snake guns here in Aus.
I made the mistake of using 12ga once on a nest of snakes at about 4 yards. If anyone has shot a gallon jug of water at similar distance you can imagine what happened. It rained bits of snake
