……………..This is all I really need and this one would make a good base camp. A central place I could run the backroads from.

I closed on this property 9 months ago today. It’s everything I wanted and more. What surprised me was it was one of the least expensive properties I was looking at.

Not surprised at all. The western mountain states always have a steady demand for housing because people constantly want to move there. Keeps the prices high. By contrast, the rural areas of Wisconsin are losing population. Our winters help. Fine with me.

Fine with me too. I was ready for a change and I feel at home here. It’s has a small town feel. I bought a wreath today and this is the receipt. Most people here know it as the red house on the hill.

How nice to reside in a historical town landmark! I think the town is lucky to have you as well.

Montana. 'Cause I'm descended from Montana settlers.

I grew up in Noxon and Trout Creek. Finding an affordable home where I could shoot wasn’t easy. You think of Montana as having freedom but many places have shooting bans and a ton of covenants conveyances and restrictions (CCR’s). Homes in Montana doubled and tripled in five years. I would have paid 80% of what I sold my home for in Woodinville. Here I paid 18% and ended up with a pile of cash.

Ya, I saw that in Whitefish. Toy'd with moving there once. After visiting, nope.

Hey John,

If you move to Wisconsin try to get close to Rice Lake. Then, when you are looking to broaden your horizon……you could get a job at the Henry plant. What do you think?
