We went with Luxury Vinyl Plank in our current home and I’m surprised how warm the floors stay. We do have carpet in the bedrooms.markiver54 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 07, 2021 8:14 pmTake a hint from those who lived there. SOME carpet is a good thing during those brutally cold WI winters.
I love the look of wood/wood plank, but...just say'n. Keep your toes warm.
Spring has sprung. Get out and shoot your Henry

5 bedrooms yes. Most of the colors I’ve seen in the homes have not been to my liking. Ripping out carpet and painting is in the budget for most of the homes.GeoBoy wrote: ↑Fri Oct 08, 2021 9:27 amGene, nice home but do you really want 5 bedrooms and those green steps, wow.Sir Henry wrote: ↑Thu Oct 07, 2021 3:15 pmThis hunting property just dropped $50K

I made a spreadsheet with the price of the home, maintenance for the next ten years and any remodel or additions needed to make each property what it should be.
Now that my home is under contract I need to find a place fast.

Put your items in watertight pods, put the pods in storage and rent a place in the area you think you want to live. Make sure there’s a really good latte/sandwich shop before you commit.Sir Henry wrote: ↑Fri Oct 08, 2021 11:59 am5 bedrooms yes. Most of the colors I’ve seen in the homes have not been to my liking. This needs a little help to make it a good hunting area. 70 acres is enough land and it’s ADA accessible.

There is NO absolutely PERFECT place. One just has to weigh their PRIORITIES!
I'm sure Gene knows what his are. He is older and probably wiser than most of us.

I have absolutely no wise plan other than to keep my options open and be willing to embrace a new life with not knowing a lot about it.markiver54 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 09, 2021 9:27 pmThere is NO absolutely PERFECT place. One just has to weigh their PRIORITIES!
