Rats!

Post by Sir Henry » Sun Dec 20, 2020 5:38 pm

Literally rats. Resident rodent control officer Little Girl, a seven year old cat, notified me about a week ago. Four days ago I threw some RAT-X in the area. Last night Little Girl was still picking up movement. Tonight will be the earliest that it would have any effect.

Film at eleven.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

I wish. Actually a shooting area could be made under the house. The crawl space on the north side is high enough to walk with an occasional duck.

Will an HW 70 work instead?

You can give it youre best shot and see. Those rats are tough. I remember shooting them in south Seattle with a Crosman 22 cal pneumatic. About 10 pumps would devastate one of those rats.

Mice are one thing. Rats are quite another. When I was a kid living on Adak, I'd hang out in the warehouse my father was in charge of. He'd let me drive the forklift around. I remember one time seeing the warehouse cat sitting about 30 ft. from one of the resident wharf rats in what appeared to be a standoff. The rat was at least as big as the cat. After a few minutes the cat chickened out & left for some other part of the place.

I’m thinking RAT-X is my best shot.

RAT-X may take time to work, but it shouldn't hurt the Little Girl Rodent Control Officer or wildlife. I just hope the Rat and it's family die where you can remove them once they've start to smell.

Had no idea you have an HW70. Don't see many those around. Cool vintage Beeman.
