A couple of weeks ago my wife and I stopped into a local RV dealer to look at a Class C. Not only would they not discount the sale off MSRP which included over $1900 from the manufacture for “market surcharge” and an additional $2395 for “dealer prep” they also offered me $15,000 less than trade in value for my three year old travel trailer. I expected to get hosed on the trade it but I did expect to see some movement off msrp.

It’s still a sellers market out there and we plan to continue to enjoy our current RV this year. Selling your Class A whenever Wisconsin decides it’s spring will certainly be in your favor.

Here’s the price list posted in the Class C we looked at. YIKES!

That is insane. I think it’s partly due to real estate being so expensive. I made a windfall profit on my home in Washington. Here in Wisconsin prices are still reasonable. I only spent 18% of what I sold mine for. Granted it’s not the same house however I bought six times as much land.

Mine is a true 4-season Class A so it should be a good place to sell it.

Selling over suggested list is BS. Ford and Chevy right now are after dealers doing that with car and truck shortages as well they should be.

Gene, congratulations on your beautiful new home and property. The private range will be wonderful. I can't wait to see what you put in place there. The photographs of the home are great.
Good for you, I'm glad you found such a nice place with such beautiful surroundings.
If you don't fish, you may need to start. All that water..............

I’m thinking of fishing again in addition to hiking. The neighbor has a pond and it’s a stone throw from my home.

I liked Wisconsin, from what I got a chance to see, a few years back (90s). People were friendly. I even had a chance to visit the Packers’ stadium. I was stationed in Sturgeon Bay, while a ship was being built. It was one of the last places that built wooded ships. While there, I took a tour of the area. Seemed like a great place for fishing. We had to sail out, before the Bay and Lakes iced over. So, I did not get a chance to see how winter was. But, it is a place that I would visit again. I rented a studio for a couple of months, nice and quite area. We even made a port of call in Halifax, as we made our way to Texas via New York. People were friendly there also. Women called the ship, inviting sailors to dinner. Yet, that was an invitation that I passed on. But, I still enjoyed my stop in Halifax. People seem friendly up North.

I spent about 6 years in North Dakota as a child. People are friendly in that state and when asked why, they tell you they are trapped inside with each other for 9 months of winter so they have to learn to be friendly.

This picture shows how small my house really is. Or it shows how big my Class A is. The motor home is 40’ and the house is 33x25 times two floors.

Really beautiful pic, love the stand of trees behind the house with the snow ridge behind them showing thru. I’m guessing the size of the home is perfect for you and your sidekick! :D
