This one is nice yet not flashy. It has room for a large RV and no CCR’s yet the neighborhood is not trashy.

The best one yet, in my opinion. Only thing lacking would be that I would be liking more land. Nice house, love the garage and shop. Much better taxes too.
The house is so-so with most other things being a plus. It has no CCR’s which can be a plus or a minus. Yes the neighbors can do whatever they want but so can I.

The area surrounding the estate is typical Montana with little attention paid to making it look nice yet I don’t see piles of junk laying around which is common with no CCR’s.

It doesn’t have 5-20 acres which I would like but those are hours away from the VA Hospital in Helena. I’ve checked the demographics of almost every voting precinct in Western Montana and I will fit right in with the citizens around me so am not so concerned about how many people per square mile. It is slightly less dense than where I am now.

It’s the house itself. It just doesn’t suit me. I want more windows and daylight. It would allow me to throw more money into an RV because it’s $350K less than some I’ve looked at. This house I could leave for three months in the winter and get all the sunshine I wanted.

It’s not a nice house but it would make a fantastic base camp which is what I really want.

This home is nice but it doesn’t have the outbuildings. I can live with that and the $750 a year HOA. I need creature comforts. This one is a two story but I could live in the basement very comfortable if I had to.

It’s close to services and most important it’s close to a latte shop. I live alone and will not know anyone and can’t be in a remote location. I turn 72 next week and in the blink of an eye will be 82 and need to think about my needs then.

I posted this in the wrong thread and deleted it. One comment was it had too much carpet. I agree but it also has No 1 Common Oak in areas.

Thats a nice place Gene but only you can decide in the end and I know you know that. For me that place would not work. I lived in a bi level once and that is all it took. Even if its as nice as that one.

What this place has is a southeast facing balcony. That means the winter sun will rise and shine directly against the house and into the windows.

The winter morning sun will rise about where the left arrow is. The land has a gentle slope to the southeast which lowers the horizon. This is very desirable for someone like me that needs the winter sun. I can take the cold and snow just give me southeast exposure.

I could live in the bottom while the top had all the carpet replaced with No 1 Common oak to match the rest of the house which is the same floor I have now. New appliances and a sink in the kitchen and I could move upstairs to have the bottom remodeled to be ADA Compliant.

I spoke with an estate planner and we worked out a plan for me to spend most of my assets by the time I reach age 92. I want to die at home not in a nursing home.

Watch the video where he talks about a six minute drive to morning lattes and evening dinners. I bet people walk these roads for exercise. They don’t go anywhere and can’t have but a few cars on them. I could ride my bike into town in 20 minutes and the bike back 3 miles and up 200 feet.

I also see this as the best possible chance of meeting a woman with similar demographics.

This is the demographics of the Lakeside Voting Precinct. The density is 228 people per square mile. Where I live now it’s about 1,500.

Not many children, mostly married, few women as head of household yet there are more women then men. In Kalispell just a few miles away the number of women as head of house is three times Lakeside.

The women in areas low as head of household do not earn as much. In Kalispell women earn more. I’m not sure why.

This shows where it’s at in relation to Kalispell. The blue line is from my house.

The final few feet. Being able to view the neighborhoods via satellite is valuable. I can tell you how many cars are parked in driveways, how many piles of junk are laying around, and I spotted two places next to an airport. The listing don’t always highlight things like that. I can zoom in even closer before it starts to blur

I can park both my trailer and car in the garage. Not buying a big RV will save a ton of money. Glacier National Park is under two hours away as well as numerous State Parks. Not to mention State Forests and National Forests.

Have I talked myself into it yet?

Planning a trip to this RV park next year. I had looked at this a couple weeks ago and told my wife about the 22 miles of bike path there. Ive always heard Flathead Lake is a beautiful area. As you mentioned Glacier National Park is nearby. She has always wanted to go there. So now that you have bought a place there we might be able to see Gene when we come if hes home or not busy with a new lady. Does this help any?

Beautiful place, just beautiful. If it's one you really like... ;)
Make your offer... I have just heard too many horror stories of HOA folks gone mad with power. Read thru the covenants and most say, "you can't" and "you will."

But, it should insure everything stays nice around you too, and no one starts raising hogs next door, working on cars at 6am on Sunday morning... But... The HOA bites both ways.
You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.

I don't look back at the things I can no longer do, I just look forward to the things I still can.

Latte’s, did someone mention latte’s.
Gene, we have a great little coffee/latte/tea shop 7 minutes from our home and we spend time there every week. Going there today for lunch and of course a wonderful latte.

No I haven’t. I haven’t even seen it in person.
