Woodcarving ,Sticks and Canes

When I cant shoot I carver. My favorite is making and carving walking sticks and canes. Some of the carving groups I belong to have canes for Vets programs working with veteran organizations. A a Vet I like working on those. these ate some of my carvings and sticks.

I make a few sticks to give away to friends that need one. I use a NZ native called Lancewood and decorate with bone and paua shell . The left one has no shell but the bone is my hip joint .After 65 years of use I didn't want to throw it away as I can still use it and it will outlast the rest of me.
