I collect old and new toy trains, my father bought me my first train set at age seven, I am now 74 and still going strong. I took one room on the second floor of my house and build a train layout wall to wall.

Looking forward to some photos of your wall-to-wall train layout. When I was very young, my Dad built for us kids a train track set up, which was l-shaped along two basement walls. Lots of fun and good memories.

BTW, do you own any Henrys or other firearms? Always glad to hear about other Folks' hobbies and interests.
And because of your signature comment, are you a Veteran, too? If so, appreciate your service.

To start I am a Veteran,
As soon as I learn how to post pictures I will include some of my train layout.
I recently ordered a Browning Buckmark UDX, when I pick it up I am going to order a Henry Big Boy in 44 mag. That would be my only Henry.
I do have a nice gun collection, my favorite are the Ruger Blackhawk’s.
I use to belong to SASS but quit back in the late 70’s because of two shoulder surgery's, since then I had two more, I ended up selling my more powerful rifles.

I don't collect. But I do have a couple train sets. My first is a Lionel my parents got me when I was probably 8 or 9. Out of college while working my first job I got interested in HO scale. Created a landscaped layout 5'x10'. Later sold the layout when I moved. Still have both train sets. Sometimes get them out for Christmas for a simple layout around the Christmas tree.

Anyway, welcome from the TV Oregon!

First of all thanks for you're service. Welcome to the forum glad you joined us. Whenever you get those pictures taken there's a number of us that can probably help you with the posting of the pictures.

I have this one. My dad bought it for me back in 1960. Christmas. Still in box, still runs. It ran hundreds of miles and was held up countless times by toy cowboys...

I have a friend that for medical reasons needs to sell his collection of trains. He doesn't want to put them on "the" auction site as he says he won't get anything for them. Knowing him, as I do, they're probably in fantastic condition. PM me if you would like his contact info.

I don't have any room left, most of my trains are packed and under the train table. I would like to see if there might be a couple that I would like. I do switch trains every once in a while.

Post didn't go thru so I will try again....Very cool set up thefile. Your hobby inspired me to go to our local historic train depot today.
Wow! Have been here almost 20 years and had never stopped in to see the free display. These guys definitely are in to their passion and hobby as evidenced by their work. They had 5 different large set ups of surrounding towns...Wow! Details were excellent right down to sound effects and cameras on two of the engines that you could watch on a tv screen as they traveled along....I had a great time...thank you! Don't let RR's small cowboys hold you up though. get the Henry out...

BTW..would be interesting if you care to, to go to the " User Name " thread. Some are pretty self explanatory, others are not. Yours opens food for thought.

It looks like you have the Geaeral, it is a wood burner. Nice engine

Another one of my hobbies is my stereo, I have been an audiophile for many years. I had a CD Player that you were able to program the title of the CD, I wanted to program Thephile for one test disc but you were only able to use 7 letters so that is how I came up with Thefile.

Real nice. I like the detail. It that a car/pedestrian accident in there?

When I was a kid I'd lay on the carpet at the end of a section of straight track and watch the train coming head on. I got too close once and got punched in the nose by the locomotive. Smarted and saw tears on that one.

For as you will see, the next stop for this train is the twilight zone.................
