That's funny right there. I started woodworking to build the things we needed with very basic tools, and built up my shop over the years, a tool here, a tool there... As needed. I built cabinets, bookcases, beds for the kids... Barns, an incubator and brooder... You name it. :D

I built Christmas gifts in the lean years, that people actually loved, and others asked for. (Cutting boards, cradles, jewelry boxes) IF I tried to go out and straight up buy what I have accumulated over a lifetime, I couldn't afford it.

If we had of had to buy what my various shops allowed me to build over the years, we couldn't have afforded a lot of things. :D

I don't look back at the things I can't do anymore with regret, I just look forward to the things I still can.
