She made her project much easier than what I did for the console radio. The only cleaning she did was to simply dust it. Her decision is that it looks so good, that she didn't want to risk damaging the older finish with any cleaning product. Then she also took an easier polishing route than I did with Renaissance Wax, and used Liquid Gold polish. I'd say I have better greased elbows.
Finished that prep this morning, she unpacked the boxes of the special display items from her Grandparents' and my wife's china collections. I almost think that filling the shelves took more time than getting the hutch cleaned and polished.
To me it looks really great. The hutch is positioned perfectly as it faces our dining area.
