Selling My Pride and Joy

Post by markiver54 » Mon Sep 28, 2020 11:15 pm

I am letting go of my '99 F-150 Lightning. Leaving the cabin for a few days on Thursday to go to the permanent homestead where my truck is.
I have a guy on the line who really is interested and is driving from Clarksville TN to come see it. I HATE to part with it.
bought it new...one owner...30,000 miles only. creampuff, it is.
i know there are some on here from that area. Randy, Grunt and maybe more. how far is that from me in Hendersonville NC. would seem, he is really interested. ?
who here knows of Clarksville, TN?

Clarksville, TN is in the NW part of TN, literally just inside the KY/TN state line .... we routinely overnight there on our way to and from South Dakota .... for us its about a 5 1/2 to 6 hr drive from there to Asheville ... to get there, get on I-40 to Nashville and take I-24 west to Clarksville ....

Thanks Jim!!
That suggests to me that this guy is really interested. He should be, as this IS a great buy for a Ford lover. It's a muscle car with a truck body.
Input appreciated Jim.

Dang, Hate to hear that it has to go.
Seems you already know how far is by now. :D
It's about 125 miles NE of me.
My BIL had one for a couple years, he made money on it though.
It was pretty Fast ;)

Yes....faster than I need to go anymore. The Distance the potential recipient has to drive though is a plus on the interest scale.
He won't regret it either. :D

Sometimes we part with things out of necessity and sometimes just because we arent using them anymore and just dont need them. I have recently been thinning the herd in the gun safe. Sure hate to part with them but I just dont need them anymore and have enough to keep me happy to I find dirt. Im sure once its gone Mark them memories will always remain.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Ya got that right Al. Priorities do change. The memories will remain!!
I'm ready to let it go. Just hope I get close to my asking price for the truck. I hope to get a later model vehicle, ( hopefully another Toyota 4-Runner ) that will last me till I'm gone.
