I dove for three years in Hawaii, and it was amazing. Then I got orders back to NC, where it would have been like diving in a mud puddle. I sold all my gear before I left Hawaii. Once I got back to NC I got caught up in the deployment cycle. My next big thing was Mountain Biking. Blowing thru the forest single tracks on a Trek 950, a hot bike back then, LoL... Til I blew my knee out again.

Heck of life's worth of experience. Great story. I agree with the sentiments already expressed by others.
Not sure how you summoned the courage to go head first through a hole in the dirt, knowing what was going to be in there, but knowing it had to be done. Thank you.
