The #2 seeded Gonzaga Bulldogs of the WCC (West Coast Conference) beat #1 seeded Saint Marys in the conference championship game by a mere 27 points Tuesday night. Gonzaga and Saint Marys tied for the regular season championship and Saint Marys got the #1 seed due to the Ken Pom rankings. Gonzaga is not used to not being the #1 seed and put a mighty whooping on Saint Marys. The Bulldogs led by 37 in the second half and cleared the bench thus leading to the “only” 27 point win. Thinking the Zags were just a little pissed. HA!

Now it’s on the the National Championship where the Bulldogs should be seeded a 2 or a 3. A bit off of the #1 seed they have had the last few years.

well, Virginia and Duke will settle the championship tonight .... while pulling for Duke, I wouldn't be willing to bet much more than a Coke on them

Duke topped a very good Virginia team by 10 .... 59 - 49 .... while Duke was in front from the opening tip but never by enough to be comfortable

Congrats to Duke. I was reading on the Gonzaga forum that Duke is peaking at the perfect time. Some of the guys while discussing potential matchups have commented, “hope we don’t meet Duke”.

Looking forward to the Selection Sunday show, hope the Zags don’t get shipped out east. The three hour time difference can be difficult if in addition you draw an early game.
