My Daughter at a big horse show...

Post by BrokenolMarine » Sat Oct 09, 2021 11:56 pm

It was a large horse show, they just bought this horse back. He had been gone for a number of years, the previous owner had not handled the horse well and had not kept up his training like Jessie and her breeder would have. Jess has been working hard at getting him healthy and correcting other issues. She has been retraining him for a few weeks and the owner is really pleased and suggested they try him at the horse show this weekend. Jessie was game. He is the brother of Jessie's Mare, Ati Grace, and another horse in the line, Tu... so his name is Uno.

This was Jessie's Addy (Grace) at a show a few years ago, in the process of Winning. 8-)

At today's show, Jessie was showing the brother, and he was doing really well under halter...

He finished forth in Hunter class among 90 entries, and WON Western Pleasure. :)

When all the scores were tallied, he was the Hi Point Novice Champion... (vs. Hi Pro) It was really impressive considering the number of entries. the show started at Nine that morning and they finished the last class well into the evening.

Not bad for a show they just wanted to use to test "where he was." Jess was thrilled, the breeder attended the show and was pleased as punch.

Look like Miss Tina taught her well. ;)

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Beautiful horse! Thanks for sharing. I love horses, but it's easier keeping a stable of bicycles and trikes than horses.

Jess sent this pic this morning, taken at the show by a professional photographer. She said it might be one she'll have made into an oil for her mother for Christmas, a rare pic of HER with a genuine smile on her face.
