2006 Tacoma. Also have a 2010 Acadia. I have spent more to that it running than the Tacoma. Yet, I am looking to purchase another GM product. I seem to like its style better.

I've owned GMC. It ran well and was durable, but was a rattle box. For generations my family had been Ford people. I broke the mold. The last Ford we bought was a frustrating lemon. I've bought Toyota since and haven't been disappointed. Amazingly reliable and long lived.

Wifes daily driver is a 2009 Australian made Falcon, has 150k on it. It will probably be the last of a long line of falcons we have had going back 40 years given Ford Aus ceased production in 2017,
Cheap and reliable could pick them up second hand at around 5 years old with 60k on them for about 15% of new vehicle cost, Previous daily driver made it to 300k before being retired, the barra motor in them are probably the best 6 cylinder ever made, 4-liter 24 valve double overhead cam with variable valve timing 250hp in base trim and almost indestructible. The last one was retired due to gearbox throwing itself into limp mode, more than likely just a sticking solenoid, reset the error codes would have it driving well again for a day or so before going back into limp mode. Motor was still strong despite the 300k not using oil and would quite happily still bounce off the 6500rpm rev limiter.
Have seen 36mpg on the highway at 75mph with 4 people and luggage but around 30mpg is normal.
Other than the bigger BMW and Mercedes there are no large 4 door rear wheel drive sedans still available in Aus, Ford, GM & Toyota all stops manufacturing in Aus within 2 years of each other as everyone decided they needed SUV's.
