Just got it installed today. Heavy duty so I can keep the canoe in place in the winds we get here all the time.

Nice! I've not seen one like that. Looks like it has a really good load rating. I like it!

Rated for 300 lbs. my canoe is 60 lbs.
Badger is enjoying retirement. His days of going places others can’t are behind him now I’m afraid.

The roof rack looks great on the Jeep. Very rugged looking.
I'm glad to hear Badger is enjoying retirement.

Give Badger a happy retirement carrot for me.

Will do. He loves his treats. He just turned 24 in March.

Can you still ride Badger at all?
Ruby was close to that age but the arthritis in her knees was bad enough that I had quit riding her. She did love her carrots (and apples).

He’s still game. But it’s a Sunday morning stroll now. No more big days in the mountains. He has Cushings disease so he’s lost a little muscle mass in the back end.
Time waits for nobody.

I miss riding but I don't know how well my 70 year old body would like it.
I live right up against the Cascade Mountain's foothills and although there were dirt roads where we rode we would spend more time on the game trails on the hillsides. Ruby was very surefooted in her younger days.

Our paint horse Dakota is still good to go. I’ll get riding him soon just waiting on the round pen to dry up. He’s 16 hands so a stretch for a 66 yr old guy but once I’m up there I’m good for a few miles.

I'll miss looking between those ears too. Lots of miles and pretty good ones too.
Here's one for posterity...
