the fellow who put the ceramic coat on ours recommended the brushless car wash .... he specifically recommended against using the brush type

our Blazer now has just over 2,700 miles showing on the odometer .... we (3 adults, 1 child plus considerably more luggage than needed) just got home from a 500+ mile Thanksgiving round trip from home to in central NC to Asheville, NC .... that drive took us from NC's rolling Piedmont to an altitude of 2,200 ft .... the vast majority of the drive was on i-40 where the maximum speed limit from 65 to 70 mph .... for all practical purposes we used the adaptive cruise control set at 5 mph over the limit .... on the trip from home to the mountains she got 25.1 mpg .... on the drive back down we got 26.4 mpg .... those numbers were hand figured .... the onboard mileage figures appear to run within a half of a mpg .... the Blazer has the same motor and transmission that was in our 2016 Camaro .... making the same drive several times with 2 adults and luggage we averagec 29 - 30 mpg .... I suspect that aerodynamics accounted for a good bit of the difference .... all-in-all, we are pleased with the Blazer's performance

Not bad on the mpg. I only get 16.5 hwy. in my 4Runner. Glad you had a safe trip.

First Warranty Claim ....

we just had to file the first warranty claim on Maureen's 2024 Blazer .... right now the Blazer has just over 3,000 miles showing on the odometer .... we've driven it something over 700 miles miles in the last week and have no clue how long it has been in the tire .... we do know that so far, there is no sign of any air leaking out of the tire .... knowing we'd taken out a separate tire/rim policy, when I noticed a screw in a tire, we dropped it off at the dealership from which it was purchased .... a couple of hours later we received a call where we learned they had checked with the warranty folks and were told not to repair the tire, rather they are to replace it ..?!?.. frankly, that caught me by surprise, no clue as to the reasoning behind the decision .... just did some checking and around here the tire sells for between $250 and $300 ....

Ya lucked out on that one. By the looks of the screw it appears it has probably been in there for a while. Not much of that Philips head left.

10-4 on getting a bit lucky .... I don't believe that the screw goes all the way through .... if that proves to be true and they plan to throw away the tire, I's probably try to talk them out of it

we just got home from picking up the Blazer after they replaced the tire ... Maureen drove it home and said she couldn't tell any difference in ride .... ins short, the appear to have done a good job of mounting and balancing
