I’m going to order a new T250 AWD, medium roof, 148” wheelbase conversion van tomorrow. It will be a 9 passenger Explorer Limited SE and it should be ready in about a month which is a week before my planned TX, NM, CO and NV trip.

There will be three to six people going. Some will fly out at Dallas and some will fly in. Only two us us will be on the 28 day trip for the full 28 days.

Edit: I test drove this 2022 today and ordered a 2023 like this except in Carbonized Grey which is quite a bit darker.

My favorite cup holder. This is Norma my 97 year old adopted mother. We took my Subaru down to Florida right before Christmas. We visited the house she grew up in that she hasn’t seen in 70 plus years. The trip to Texas and beyond will most likely be the last time she will see some of her relatives. And maybe the only time she will get to see her first 5th generation.

Very nice. Glad to see you are getting out and traveling. I had hoped to do some traveling, but with Miss T's hobbies here on the farm needing daily attention we can't leave for more than an overnight. No one to feed and water the hobbies. LOL.

We are now reducing the trip to only Texas and will only be gone for two weeks. Then in May we will do the CO trip and then on to Las Vegas. This trip will also be two weeks and from CO to NV there will be eight people. Another two week trip in August or September is now being planned. We don’t know where we will go then.

I met with one of the Church Deacons yesterday and we talked about doing 30 daily trips in the area with people that are capable of getting out but don’t because it’s no fun doing it alone. Before Covid19 smaller groups would get out and sometimes take two full cars. Museums, zoos, arboretums and tourist traps will be our destination. I’m new to the area and want to do the local adventures.

It’s pretty amazing what Ford (and others) have done with the good old van. I think back on those ugly Dodge vans of the 70’s and then the mini-van of the 80’s and these Transit vans have taken the van to an incredible level. Sounds like you have some very good times on tap.
