They are around and have heard good things. But after driving trucks for decades I don’t want a car. The Jeep is a good fit for me I think.

Is the one you are looking at a removable hardtop or a soft top? You had mentioned a soft top earlier. Soft tops are OK if they don't have plastic windows but I don't think they would be great with your winters.

I was looking at the windshield a little closer and it looks like it does fold down?? When I had my CJ the top was always off when it warmed up and unless I was driving at highway speeds the windshield was down.

I was looking for soft top originally. But this one has the removable hardtop option which is better for security anyway. Plus I’ll want to mount our canoe up there at times. So it’s all good. The panels over the driver and passenger come off separately so can still enjoy going topless. :)

Yes doors come off and windshield folds down too.

Does the Willys model have the off road prowess of the Rubicon?

Probably not, a new Rubicon with no added options is $84,290. 470hp hemi, advanced suspension.

Thanks for the links Dave. I was unaware that Jeep had come that far. 470 Hp., but the price! also.
