Winter AT tires for the Bronco...

Post by RanchRoper » Fri Aug 27, 2021 8:53 pm

Bought a set of Falken Wildpeak A/T Trail tires for the Bronco today. Put them on around mid-Sept. Should look pretty bad-*ss and get real good traction for winter. 225/60R18's.

As soon as I get 'em on I'll post a pic. The stock tires that came on it are Michelin Primacy but very much street tires. The A/T's will look much more aggressive plus they are snow rated.

I’ve had an 86, 87, and 90 Bronco II. Sure would like a new one. How do you like it now that you have had it awhile?

We really like it. Very solid on the road, good mileage, and fun to drive. Lots of room inside, and storage as well. Should be great in the snow.

Have a few of the full size Broncos in the area now too, very cool but also a big price tag.

Mine is about 1,500 wet. My Outback pulls it fine even at high speed but gets 18 mpg at 75 mph and gets 25 at 60. It’s almost a waste of the car because it likes to cruise at 80 or faster.

So far on this trip I’m staying at 60 for the better mileage but also to keep the RPM down.
