2021/'22 full size Bronco

Post by Rifletom » Fri Jun 18, 2021 5:30 pm

A lot of internet searches because no local dealers have them yet. These differ from the Sport model, as they look more like an late 60's-early 70's version of the Bronco. And are a bit bigger. 2-door, 2.3L or 2.7L engine, 10 speed auto, 3.73 rear axle, hardtop and a couple other options possibly.
Won't be rough housing it, but, want something a little different than my 2008 Silverado[best damn truck I've EVER owned]. Just something a bit smaller, can garage easily. We're looking pretty seriously at one of these. Be my last vehicle purchase I'm sure. We shall see.

Dont expect very good mileage out of either one of those engines Tom. If you get the eco boost strong suggestion to use synthetic oil. Change it when the truck says to. Just my .02 worth.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Yeah, 20mpg around town, 24mpg hiway with 2.3L, a bit less with 2.7L. Agree with the synthetic oil[Ford recommends it also, as does my mechanic].
This would be our fun time driver, not everyday user. Have a 2020 Hyundai Elantra for that, Superb mileage there. Want to keep my 2008 Silverado, but, not keeping 4 vehicles if we do indeed buy the Bronco.

Well Im a Ford supporter but Fords for me anyway have never gotten the mileage they claim. If you get the 2.7 Id be surprised if it got that mileage. I had a ford Lariat 2014 ecoboost it did not get the milage they claimed

Yeah Al, there are still things to work out. Not set in stone yet. And we're in no hurry. still researching those two ecoboost engines. These are supposed to be 2nd generation[?], so, more looking is needed. Not from Ford, but, independent truck/engine reviews. I want to know more for sure.
