Badger goes zero to 40 in 3 jumps, but he's only good for quarter mile. And he quits work at 2pm. Must be a union thing. That's quite a car.... :)
we have some grandchildren who'd love to see Badger in person .. :D .. kind words appreciated .... she's a fine vehicle .... amazingly comfortable ride, excellent handling, plenty of get up and go, good mileage (averages 32 +/- mpg at interstate cruising speeds) .... not real easy for me to get into or out of but I do enjoy driving it

getting 3 years of use out of a $400 car ain't bad at all .... you sure got your money's worth .... when we purchase a vehicle we are prone to keep and it for at least 10 years .... our truck that we tow our camper with is 12 years old, our knock around vehicle is 14 years old and my Mom's 19 year old Buick is our Daughter's to work and back daily driver .... in all likelihood, so long as it performs OK, it will be the last vehicle we buy for my wife .... it will be paid for in 2 years .... sometime thereafter we will decide if we will keep our current 2011 Silverado or if we will buy what will probably be my last truck

just finished updating the map info in Maureen's 2016 GPS system .... OK, right up front, I prefer Garmin's system so my comments are somewhat biased .... the update itself was easy enough .... you send them too much money ... they send you a USB drive .... you get in, crank the vehicle and plug it in .... you acknowledge a question on the screen letting it know you want to update the maps .... it goes to work .... you leave the vehicle running for they say up to 50 minutes and walk away .... when I came back the car was still idling and the navigation screen looked normal .... on the paperwork they give you a series of steps to confirm that the install was successful .... that's when the *#@+% fun begins .... bottom line, the install was successful but it took most of an hour and a call to GM's customer service to figure it out .... have I mentioned lately that I totally dislike using GM's system .... if anyone ever was to figure out how to plug in a USB drive that could reprogram it to Garmin's system would have my business

I don't even bother to update mine at all If I need a gps I just use my phone. RR I bought one of those Vegas new and took it in to get a tune up from a good friend who owned a gas station. He called me on the phone and said come get it its running great right now but if I was you Id get rid of this thing before all you will get is 400 out of it. Traded it a week later for a 73 Mustang and never looked back. Told me he ran a compression check on it and it wasn't to good.

my wife has one of those smart phones but we've never set it up to use as a GPS .... we have a good Garmin unit that we use for traveling around the country .... its too large for use in the Camaro .... the Camaro is our emergency travel vehicle (in good weather only ;) ) our closest relatives live 300 miles away and most live 1,500 miles away .... so we make it a point to keep it mechanically ready to leave with a very short notice, that's where updating the OEM GPS comes in .... thankfully we haven't had to make very many emergency trips but we are all getting older ....

.
My step-dad has a Garmin. Way too complicated of a device. He can't use it and I couldn't figure it out to help him.
Google Maps app on the smart phone. Nothing to setup. type in or speak/tell it where you want to go. Touch 'Start' and it will talk to you turn for turn directions as you drive.

We found the in car/in dash nav systems are usually over complicated and under featured. For the cost of the update subscription for that Nav system, I bought a very nice Garmin for the truck, loaded with features, and lifetime updates included.

It has lane alert, positioning you in the proper lane for your next move.
Split screen, with a 3D view of your next complicated move popping up for clarification.
Traffic warnings...
Search capability, to add logos marking food, fuel, lodging
Talks... And voice command...

If we aren't on a trip, I touch the speed display in the lower right corner of the map, and it becomes an large, easy to see, digital speedometer.

below is a picture of our Garmin 760 DEZL mounted on the windshield of our Sportchassis where its 9.4 x 8.2 x 3.2 inch size is perfect .... it works OK on the dash of our Silverado but is simply too large for mounting on the dash of my wife's Camaro .... down the road I may well buy a smaller Garmin to use in it but there is a question of "looks" which it would have to pass so as to be put in her vehicle ... ;)

I was looking at some nice used Camoros before I purchased my Mazda 6. The dealer wouldn't budge on price so I went with the Mazda. I don't regret the decision but it would be nice to own both.

the battery in my wife's remote for her Camaro finally died .... in looking at it, there are no external screws or pry slots to use in opening the remote .... after puzzling over it for a few minutes, I decided to check YouTube  an guess what :?: .... yep they have a short video about replacing the battery in a remote exactly like hers .... watched the video twice and am delighted to say, it worked .... the battery has been replaced, hopefully it will last for 5 years ... 8-)

in June of 2020 the dealership installed a new battery in my wife's 2016 Camaro .... that's no small task, its buried in the trunk .... it will take a charge but will not hold a charge .... after being connected to a charger for 3 days over Christmas we took it to the dealership yesterday .... they kept it overnight and plan to test the battery sometime this morning .... if it fails it will be replaced .... sure hope it fails, we are only a few days from hitting the road for Texas and would hate to leave with a question as to the condition of the battery

well, she has just over 24,000 miles on her and she's paid for .. Image .. so long as they meet our needs and are mechanically sound, we tend to keep and drive our vehicles for a long time .... our Buick is 20 years old, our Trailblazer is 16 years old .... our Sportchassis is 14 years old, my Silverado is 10 years old .... and we plan to keep her Camaro for decades as well .... with my wife's family living in South Dakota we have always kept a four wheel drive and usually one other vehicle ready to crank and head out there in an emergency at a moment's notice .... the Silverado doesn't have an OEM GPS so our Garmin provides one for all of our vehicles but the Camaro .... it does have an OEM GPS which has taken some getting used to .... using our Garmin isn't an option so for the first time, we have spent the money to update the Camaro's map software .... the update took about 40 minutes and loaded smoothly .... no clue if or when we may update it again

As far as the Garmin in the Camaro goes, consider a sandbag mount. You could get one and sit the Garmin on the console forward of the shift lever for long trips. The sandbag mount keeps it stable, lets you navigate, take advantage of all the garmin features, and then easily remove 'er when the trip is over. Might work.

I considered getting a used Camero when I purchased my new (then 2018) Mazda 6. I'm happy with my choice but always wonder what it would be like to drive one. Congrats!
