Mine is the Willys Sport package. No power windows, no heated seats, very small digital screen. V6 auto. Shift into 4x4 on the floor with the lever….clunk, yup I’m in 4x4. :)

So it's a mechanically shifted transfer case? I was concerned about the longevity of the electric switched transfer case in my '97 Ranger but I haven't had any issues with it so far. Several years ago I did start having problems with getting the automatic locking hubs to disengage. Replaced them with manual locking hubs, new auto hubs were very expensive. If the weather is snowy I just leave them engaged so I don't have to get out to engage them if I need 4wd. I'm running Blizzak snow tires and they're so good I really don't need 4wd if there's just a couple of inches of snow.

Yup it’s mechanical. I wanted the least amount of tech and bs gizmos available.

My kind of vehicle RR! My '03 Tundra has manual door locks, manual windows, manual trans and low maintenance two wheel drive with V-6 engine. It does have a good stereo radio and a very nice bench seat with a large fold down arm rest and a tilt wheel. It also has the rubber floor covering that I much prefer over hard to clean carpeting when going to coal yards. 212,000 miles and the rubber floor shows zero wear. The perfect truck for my use.

My '53 had no floor covers and had drain holes. If you were reasonably careful about not spraying the dash you could wash the floors at the carwash or with a hose.

I wondered what that awesome rack is for. Looks great.

We sat in a couple of Jeeps earlier this week and wow, we are impressed. Haven’t got to the point we want to test drive yet, trying to go easy as we don’t need it until next spring. Lots of 2023’s out there but only a few 2024 on the lots.

I just love jeeps I have a 2023 Willys Gladiator Sport S fully loaded and my wife has a 2020 Gladiator Sport S with max tow package. I have had a jeep in the driveway for over 40 years. When I lived upstate NY, my uncle had 2 WWII Willys on his farm that he put together that he bought both for 300 bucks in the 50s. That is how I learned to drive at 8 years old so fun.

Hey RR, now that you have had the Falkens on for a while, what are your thoughts on them? I have them on my Sequoia, and frankly, I can’t wait to get rid of them. Their snow performance here in the west Kootenay white stuff is horrible. I do find the snow here to be among the most slippery I’ve ever encountered, so I’m not sure how much better anything else would be. Although the Tundra on borderline bald 35x12.50 Toyo ATs does better!

Late reply!
I quite like my Falkens. Very good tire life. I find them good in snow on and off highway.

I just placed an order today for a 2025 2 door Willys in the new color called ‘41. Original Army jeep color. Trading in my 2022. The new one comes with 33” Falken Wildpeak MT’s.

I swear by the Falkens as well. Have a set on my 0ld 4-Runner and a set of those will go on my newer 4-Runner when the current ones wear out.
Congrats on the new Jeep. Sounds nice, especially with those 33's and that color!

The nice thing about the Willys is since 2024 they upgraded to Rubicon fenders, Dana front and rear end, rear locker HD suspension. So basically a rubicon without the hefty price tag.
