Nice... Most of our vehicles have been a dark color as well. Black, forest green, burgandy. We ordered the 2015 Frontier Pro4X in Dark Blue, but when we drove 90 minutes down to look at it, just after the long holiday weekend at the beginning of May that year, I noticed that the inside of the Wheel Wells were caked with Red Mud, the Bed Extender was missing and the interior plastic was gone. Checked the Milage and it had nearly 60 miles on the odometer. I told the Salesman I hoped he had another Pro4X on the lot, because someone had taken that one out playing in the mud over the long weekend. (We found out later a check of the security Cameras ended up with an Employee getting fired for it) They brought out the only other 2015 Pro4x on the lot, 6 miles on the odometer, all the plastic still in place, not a fleck of red mud anywhere. All the goodies where they should have been. Lava Red. Not my color choice. But it has grown on me. ;) We picked it up on my Birthday... so

We had the windows Tinted, added a shell, and the Nissan Steps. Eight years later it still looks new.

We couldn't see going back to a car. Enjoy your new Blazer when it comes in... :P

by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.

I don't look back at the things I can no longer do, I just look forward to the things I still can.

Kinda off topic but I learned something this week. I was taking a very casual look at Jeep Wranglers and looked at the online inventory of the two local dealers. Both showed around a dozen standard Wranglers but a couple of dozen of some model with an E in the name. I wondered what the hell is this E thing and should have known better. It is a hybrid model which if I ever went EV this is what I would choose. Dang those Jeeps and spendy.

I'm glad that plenty of options are available so that buyers can (hopefully) find a vehicle that best meets their needs .... as to spendy, ain't they all .. :!:

the link below is the first authoritative evaluation of the 2024 Blazer that I've seen .... its from Edmunds and does what looks to me to be a good job of covering both the Pros and Cons ... the color shown is the one we ordered

when we ordered Maureen's Blazer we requested it be available for pickup around Sept 1st .... just got a call that it has been moved to a list where it will be assigned a build date .... once given a date their vehicles are usually delivered to the dealership within 30 days .... while not certain, that looks good for it to be delivered on time 8-)

another step, happily this is a big one .. 8-) .. we received notice a few minutes ago that Maureen's Blazer has been "Built and Stored" ... which means it is fully assembled and is now stored until shipment in a secure location where final inspections may be made .... that puts it on track to be delivered around the time we are due to get back home from spending the summer in South Dakota

per Hannibal on the A-Team, "I love it when a plan comes together." .... today we learned that Maureen's new Blazer is on a transport train and is scheduled to be delivered to our dealership next week between Sept 6th and 9th .... once it arrives it should take them three or four days to test drive it, have it ceramic coated and and get it ready for delivery .... one interesting thing I learned today is, there is no engine break-in period .... rather, simply drive it as normal from the first time I crank it .... that said, I still think I'll take it easy with it for a while

As with most break in periods, when their needed, one of the most important things is to vary your speed. Don't drive a long time at the same speed. May not apply here, but that's what I practice.

same with me and I specifically asked about it .... they said no problem with getting out on an interstate and setting the cruise

Today’s engines are pre broke in. Many of them come with a synthetic oil already in the engine. No need to easy on them drive them how you are going to drive it

we started keeping a detailed log in all of our vehicles way back when you could deduct gasoline taxes .... over time, filling it out has become second nature .... it really helps in keeping track of regular maintenance and other items such has tire rotation .... today I hope to make the book for Maureen's new Blazer

we were out and about a little while ago and stopped by our dealership .... its been sitting in Winston-Salem which is about 100 miles west of us for 3 days .... their computer says it should get to the dealership tomorrow ..... the guys who work there said that is possible but more realistically be there over the weekend or on Monday .... we spent a good while discussing optional tire/wheel, windshield protection plans, extended warranties, service plans and such .... we find that some were worth the expense to us and some weren't .... my biggest fear in purchasing today's vehicle is the cost of computer and other electronic system issues .... with the information we received today, we are now ready finalize the purchase whenever its ready

Sounds like a great plan Jim. Let me know if and when you might visit the Moose. In the mean time, enjoy that reunion. 🙂
