last task for the evening is to set our clocks (the trucks included) ahead 1 hour to get them back on Eastern time .... history tells us that coming so close as jumping ahead an hour for daylight saving's time will take some getting used to .... ;)

it rained sometime last night but no more called for before noon .... today's drive takes us around Atlanta, that's never a pleasant .... we hope the forecast is correct and we will skirt the major storm front that will be moving parallel to our route .... this is scheduled to be the longest day's drive for our return trip home

I’m on Pacific Retired Time all year. I get up when I want, eat when I want, and go to bed when I want to regardless of what the clock says.

our longest day's drive for this trip covering 386.1 miles in 6 hrs 33 min is history and we are setup in Aiken RV Park .... our drive from Sherling Lake almost to Atlanta went smoothly .... just short of Atlanta we ran into rain that quickly escalated into an out and out deluge that restricted our vision in all directions .... one would think that such conditions would slow the speed of the traffic but NOOOOO .... all that needs to be added is we made it .... after turning east onto I-20 we out ran the storm and were able to reach Aiken RV Park, then get setup before the rain hit .... it is supposed to hang on for another hour or so and once it moves out, the forecast says we should have clear weather all the way home .... that'll be nice :D
