Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

good wishes appreciated .... during our last 3 weeks at Conroe we put 210.6 nontowing miles on our truck .... I-10 in Louisiana has had a reputation for being extremely rough for as long as I can remember .... while they have fixed some of it, other sections continue to be a disgrace .... bottom line, I'm happy to be able to say we are setup at Baton Rouge KOA after a 317.6 mile drive that took us 5 hr 24 minutes .... once we got here, it took much longer than normal to put everything that had bounced out of cabinets back into place ..... it looks like the latest series of storms is moving north of us and we won't cross paths with it until sometime Wednesday .... hopefully by then something will change and we will miss it all together .... our truck's fuel consumption since filling it a month ago has been way off .... based on past experience I believe the fuel we purchased must have been B20 .... we didn't plan to take on any more fuel until tomorrow but from looking at the gauge that was going to cut it to close .... so, my wife checked her TSD fuel discount app and found a Petro where we took on 30 gallons .... we still plan to fill the truck during tomorrow's drive ....

Sounds like the roads down Denver way. It seems we cant find any road engineers and bridge engineers that agree on bridge and road height. Our local city just raised sales tax to build and improve roads. Seems they have trouble find people that know how to build roads because even the new roads are rough. There is spots in Denver I will slow down to around 25 to 30 mph because Im not going to subject my suspension on the fifth wheel or my truck to that abuse. Maybe if they get enough people impeding traffic they will fix the roads.

cloudy morning in Denham Springs at the Baton Rouge KOA .... no rain anticipated during today's 314 mile drive over sections of I-12, I-10 and I-65 to Greenville, AL .... with a planned fuel stop along the way it should take about 5 hrs

today's drive ended up taking us 5 hr 53 min to cover 332.4 miles .... thankfully, the interstates we traveled today were in a much better condition than those of yesterday .... everything pretty much stayed in place inside the camper for the entire trip .. ;) .. 2 stops, one for fuel, on simply to take a short break .... we are now setup near Greenville, AL at Sherling Lakes .... its location is handy for us both going to and returning from Texas .... over the years we have found it to be a good place to spend the night .... at $30 a night for a 50 Amp / full hookup site its reasonably priced .... by comparison, last night's 50 Amp / full hookup sit at the Baton Rouge KOA cost $58 .... its a good thing we settled in for the evening, per AccuWeather "Rain, heavy at times will continue for the next 49 minutes."

Supposed to get very wet, and then cold Jim. Hunker down and be safe, as winds. At least here, are supposed to get brutal!
