Trip To Maine

I’ve traveled the west and midwest extensively and don’t believe there are any Interstate Highways I’ve not been on. Same with US Routes in those states. There are even few State Routes I’ve not traveled. Now the east is a different story and the opposite is true. Yes I’ve been to the southeast a bit but only the Interstates and only a few times. There are only seven states in the northeast I’ve never been. In late September I’m going to the 23rd annual Camp-Inn Camp-Outt and am thinking of continuing on for two weeks.

Since leaving Washington I’ve only been to Florida twice, Alaska twice, Virginia twice, Kentucky once, and Texas once. And on those trips I was with people and had a destination. I need a solo trip with no real destination just a route. I enjoy traveling and not necessarily camping or vacationing. Time spent behind the wheel watching the world go by is what I crave. That and tourist traps. There’s got to be a big ball of yarn somewhere in Maine.

You will unless you want to pay full price for tolls. Found this info.
From Wisconsin, Illinois I-PASS: Illinois is your closest neighbor. You can sign up for an I-PASS via the Illinois Tollway. It belongs to the E-ZPass network, requires no monthly fee, and works perfectly all the way to Maine.

I’m working on that now. I already have IL pay by plate but its only good for IL.
