Sony XAV-AX3200

Post by JEBar » Thu Sep 29, 2022 8:13 pm

our Sportchassis now has over 188,000 miles on it .... overall, she has performed with infrequent issues, none of which have been major .... the most recent problem has been the failures of the electric engine fan and the OEM Pioneer sound system .... earlier today we replaced the Pioneer system with a Sony XAV-AX3200 ====> https://www.amazon.com/Sony-Mobile-XAV- ... 7e17e03685 .... with the Sony we no longer have some features like closed circuit TV, GPS, and CD player .... we don't need or use any of them .... for us the most important features we need are operation of the truck's backup cameras along with AM FM radion .... it can be linked to Maureen's Iphone via a USB cable which allows us access numerous other functions

Jim, that a very functional and powerful unit. Once you start to use the features it has in conjunction with a smart phone you will wonder how you ever survived without it. Having both Apple and Android play brings to power of your wife's smartphone to your dash. I wouldn't own a vehicle without it. I have that capability in my 2021 Silverado. You will need a good data plan on you wife's phone to support the features once you start using the.

suggestion and info appreciated ..... hadn't considered that .... if we get to using the new Sony, we may well need to take a look at a different data plan

just returned from our orientation for our new Sony .... the truck's backup camera is a major feature for us .... using the same camera and wiring the clarity of the picture is markedly better than it was with the OEM Pioneer system .... on it own, its a most impressive unit .... connect it to Maureen's Iphone and its even more so
