Camping in Montana August 1st 2021

Post by Sir Henry » Mon Aug 02, 2021 11:09 am

I found this spot about 15 miles from the house I came to see. This is a three campsite spot by the side of a lake in the Kootenai National Forest. All free and I’m told they are abundant in the area. They are considered primitive because they have no power or water.

Pretty nice. Like the storage bin. Enjoy.

I've traveled that country and loved it. Those bear dumpsters are one of the greatest inventions, ever. They've probably saved a bunch of human and bear lives. All the camp grounds in our area have them.

How's the smoke been? We've been getting it all week.

Smoke is bad. So far the worst has been in Washington. I’m on my way back and stopped at a rest area for an hour or so. I’m not tired but will go for a brisk walk in a few minutes.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

What’s not to like about Montana. Free camping with a wonderful view (other than the smoke of course).

The worst smoke was on the return trip through Washington.

I’ve posted lots of pictures of the outside of the teardrop. Here are a few of the interior.

It is currently setup for one person. I don’t need a double bed and having just the single mattress allows me to wear shoes on the carpet.

I raised the sofa and it’s quite comfortable to sit for longer periods.

Seen the small trailers every year in Elkhart during the annual trailer show but never stopped to look in them. Thanks for the pictures.
