Gene, your teardrop is a beauty. We have a truck camper and love it, did you ever consider a Four Wheeler or Alaskan truck camper? The Four Wheeler could go onto a half ton truck but the Alaskan would need a three quarter to or larger truck.

I see them, looking more for an all leather upper walking shoe rather than a hiking boot, I think I will be happy with the Lowa's I bought once they are broken in. The Oboz Missoula Low might be one I would try but looks like they are low on sizes too. That's why I didn't get a pair of my New Balances, they couldn't even order them in my size. What is the model that you have?

These are the Lowa's I bought, supposed to be very high quality, made in Germany. I paid $220 for them.

I like the small trailer because I can pull it with my car and because I can drop it if I want to see the sights.

I climbed Guadalupe yesterday. It took me 3 hours and 10 minutes. Not bad for 3,000’ elevation gain.

Yes I’m a happy camper. I was the third one to summit that day. On the way down I passed 27 people climbing.

There are a couple of bridges built to aid climbing.

Great pics Gene, thanks for posting them. Yes, you do look like a happy camper (and climber).

I don’t like snakes either and when I read that sentence that old Jim Stafford song “I don’t like Spiders and Snakes” popped into my head. Now I’ll be humming it all day.

I almost added spiders because the same song came into my head.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

I like the Firebrand II if you Google that it will bring the shoe right up. There about 140.00 and they are waterproof. I havent even seen those that you are wearing.

I’m on my second pair and by pair I mean two sets of shoes. I usually buy two pair at a time. I’m in need of new shoes. One pair is okay but the other is getting worn. I wear one pair for the city and another for getting dirty.
