Sometimes the best thing is to just stay off them. Driving should be good for them. Getting old sure isn’t for the young at heart.

that's pretty much what I've done since July 3rd .... thankfully, my knee has responded well .... unless I mess up and do something to reinjure it, I have no reason to believe it won't be fine on the trip .... my intestinal problem sees to have responded to treatment, no "events" since midmorning yesterday

our last Sunday for this trip in Estelline has turned out to be a windy but beautiful one .... having no desire to take any chance of reinjuring my knee, no trap shooting this afternoon .... simply to reduce things remaining to be taken care of we do plan to take down and pack a few items .... we also plan to check the air pressure in all truck and camper tires .... in addition, we plan to test the camper's auto leveling system

much more due to circumstance than planning, we checked a few rather significant items off of our pre-trip list .... first ,our Yeti cooler has been cleaned and mounted on the back of our truck .... second, our deck has been taken apart and either stored or parts placed ready to be stored .... tomorrow I need to figure out how to reset our Tireminder so it will read the pressures of all tires on our truck and camper

How do to like the yeti? Oh yes those pre-trip lists. I’m Malone now.

on the positive side, they perform as advertised

on the negative side, the larger ones are bulky, very expensive, and very, very heavy

the one we have will probably last longer than I will but I'd not buy another

My cheap Coleman does great. Especially in the wrap and tucked away inside the teardrop. It keeps enough food cold for one person.

I did a lot of looking at all those high priced fancy coolers and decided not to buy one. For a little more money one can buy a 12 volt fridge and not need any ice.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

ours was bought with one purpose in mind .... we literally haul a couple of thousand dollars worth of South Dakota steaks home every year .... they are not frozen .... the trip home can take 7 or more days in mid August .... could it be done using cheaper coolers, yep .... that said, I simply don't want to take a chance ....
