Estelline, SD

Post by JEBar » Sun Oct 25, 2020 11:55 am

as many folks here know, we spend our summers camped in my Wife's hometown of Estelline, SD .... we thoroughly enjoy the area but the winters are way too tough for me .... all of the pictures below were sent to us by one of my wife's nieces who lives about 20 miles South of Estelline in the town of Volga, SD .... the first 3 pictures below show snow that fell on Oct 20th .... since then it melted .... the second 3 pictures show this morning's snow fall .... yep, too tough for me :?

We don’t get much snow here but they do in the nearby mountains. This is Stevens Pass which is 56 miles from my house. By January there will be ten feet on the ground.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Winters are tough on these old bones now but they were tougher when I had to drive tractor /trailer in blizzards to get the load to it's destination. Sure am glad those days are long gone.

We've already had three snowfalls, though all have been light, so far. Temps have been stuck in the 30s for highs for almost two weeks, now. Puts us about three weeks early for winter. Oh, well. Life in the north woods.
