If you are in the Custer area you should do the Needles trip. Maybe you have that planned but its a neat ride.
My home area, well worth the time.

Should make for a memorable trip.
Ride safe and keep an eye out for the blame cell phone users.
Have some friends that made a similar trip last year, they are going up into Canada this year.
Couple of them are trying to get me to join 'em.
I don't have a passport and don't intend on getting one, besides there isn't anything up there I cared to see...
Well, except for maybe a couple of the members here.

Day 3

Not much of an update for Day 3. We hit an awful rain storm in iowa. Stopped and put on rain gear the traveled well over sn hour in pouring rain. Finally drove out of the weather to clear blue skies about 10 miles from Minnesota.

On I90 we had fun with the wind as we drove to our end of day stop in Blue Earth, MN. Cute little town with very nice folks. Had to buy a head light bulb for my bike. Ten minute trip to O’Reily’s auto parts and 45 minutes to change the lamp.

Day 4

Landed in Wall, SD. Relax for the evening while waiting for our friends to arrive.

Very windy crossing South Dakota. Fought cross winds and head winds. Used a lot more fuel in bikes because of the winds. Tomorrow on to the Badlands.

Yes great picture in front of the famous Wall Drug. (Never been there dang-it)

I have done Deadwood, Custer, Rushmore and other attractions in the area and it’s worth every minute invested in it.

I have a friend that was traveling along that line yesterday, he's headed to the Quigely Shoot over in MT.
He commented a couple times about how bad the wind was.

Good to see y'all made it through another day. Looks and sounds like a pretty good ride.
I'm a bit jealous. ;)

Started out in the Badlands

We had a family of sheep watching us while sunning themselves. Also had a Bison come out to the roadside for some fresh munchies. We road by quickly.

Then on to Mt Rushmore.

Some how the file are getting mixed and not in the order I wat them.

From Mt Rushmore we went to Custer State Park to Ride Needles Highway. Traffic was very heavy so taking pictures on a motorcycle was too much to handle.

Ended the day in Deadwood.
