Do you plan to travel for Christmas ??
our Christmas travel is very short .... as has become our tradition, we will haul our camper 3 miles to our oldest son's home .... we do so to provide more sleeping space .... our whole family will meet there on Christmas Eve and stay there there until late Christmas day or the day after ....

As a general rule I don't travel long distances on any holidays. My kids will be home; Daughter and her Husband live in the state, and all their inlaws are in the same general area. My son is traveling home from VT (senior at Norwich University) and should be heading our way any time now. He took his roommate to the airport today at noon.

No travel for us, our California family was here for Thanksgiving so won’t travel here again so soon. Our local son and D-I-L will be here for Christmas Eve. On Christmas Day Mrs hatchdog and I plan to stay home and watch Christmas movies. This will be a first for us to do the movie thing. Looking forward to it.

No travel for me and herself. Had Thanksgiving with our daughter and two of the three grandkids but they have other plans for Christmas, so it will be quiet for us.
I might try to slip into the woods early Christmas morning, depends on the weather.

Nope, I'm working my part time job so others can enjoy the day.
Some days I'm Andy, most days I'm Barney........

Family coming in for Christmas. No travel for me
Re: Do you plan to travel for Christmas 2024 ??
No travel for me. Close relatives have moved quite a distance away and I'm not much for traveling anyway. When I was a kid I had 5 Uncles and Aunts on my mom's side and about the same on my dad's side that lived close by so holidays and even just regular weekend dinners were usually a big affair. On my mom's side Lefse and Lutefisk were always made during Christmas dinners, I liked Lefse but could never bring myself to try Lutefisk.

I'm planning on driving to Cheyenne the day after Christmas. Hoping to catch up with two military grandsons at that time. It will be a good family time. Like many of you I have done a lot of distance driving. It just doesn't bother me, and actually I enjoy the drive.
Remember, it's not how many guns you have. It's how many bullets you have.
