Super C

a Class C motor home has a van or truck front attached to a travel trailer type camper .... when it comes to top of line, the Super-C reigns supreme .... the vast majority of the ones I've seen are powered by Freightliner M2 trucks like ours (picture 1) .... picture 2 shows a Super C we saw recently at the North Carolina State Fair Campground .... no clue what the are selling for new but I've seen 15 year old ones priced at a quarter of a million

You can spend just about any amount you want on one of those depending what they have. Prices are the same as most Class A motorhomes. Id rather pedal on of these down the highway than a class A. Driving a Class A to me is like driving an old cab over semi and I never cared for it.

I have a Class A diesel pusher and love driving it. What I don’t like is the maintenance.

Plus I’m more of the teardrop trailer type of person.

I can use the Class A as storage and a spare guesthouse so I kept it.

It now lives in its RVport.

I paid way to much for it but needed to live in something. After I bought this place in Wisconsin the market for them dropped and I would take a big hit selling plus it’s cheaper than adding on to the existing house. I’m far ahead selling in Seattle when I did and buying here.

Well I know you are not trying to sell it but if you were you might be surprised at what you could get out of the older RV's right now. With all the negative frame issues and quality issues right now going on on Youtube the RV industry as a whole is taking huge hits financially. Some of the bigger RV dealers like Lazy days are losing huge amounts of money. People dont want to spend a 100K for a piece of junk that falls apart in a year because of poor design and frame failure. Then the builders dont want to stand behind there product like Winnebago

I’ve heard that from a others too. The easiest thing to do is nothing. If I sold it I would need to remodel the house and I’m just not up to it. I’m still working on my garage and want to put in a green house next year.

On a side note I also bought a Mercedes van for $18K in Seattle. I paid way to much for it and sold it for $22K or a few dollars short. I can’t remember the exact price.
