Christmas 2022 / New Year 2023

Post by JEBar » Thu Dec 01, 2022 11:07 am

the end of 2022 is rapidly approaching .... what are your plans for Christmas and New Year's

for us, next to no traveling this year .... as has become a family tradition, for Christmas we will tow our camper 3 miles and set it up next to our oldest son's home .... our immediate family will collect there for Christmas .... Maureen and I will most probably spend New Years Eve by ourselves at home .... I'm usually awake to see in the New Year, Maureen may or may not make it

A quiet evening for Christmas AND New Years Eve is probable. Nothing to celebrate on New Years Eve except that 2022 will be behind us. This past year has been rather dreadful for me. Here's hoping better times are ahead.
HAPPY holidays to ALL!

I'm headed to SC, to spend Christmas with daughter and grandchildren. SIL is in Saudi til Spring.
I'll stop and hollar at Mark on my way through. 😉
Most likely nothing for the first as of late, I'm usually a sleep before midnight.

Stay home on the ranch, enjoy new grandson, kids live close by so they'll be over a bunch. Shoot my flintlock lots, and spend time sitting near the woodstove.

just took a look at our area's weather forecast for Christmas Day .... 53 degrees under a cloudy sky with 6 mph wind .... good chance of rain overnight .... contrasting that with the forecast of Estelline, SD where they are calling for a high of 25, falling to 8 degrees Christmas night with light snow ....

No plans to travel for us. Haven’t heard if our kids/grandkids are coming up from California this year. Between mom and dads work load and grandson’s basketball and granddaughter’s dance/stage activities they stay pretty busy. Son says that if they can squeeze a trip in this year it will be only for a couple of days.

New Years…ha ha ha. Nice thing about living in the Pacific time zone is when the ball drops in Times Square it’s only 9:00 pm here. That’s about as late as we ever stay up so that works.

No plans to travel for Christmas or New Years. We will be at our youngest son's house on the 18th for an early Christmas and then home. Last year we made a prime rib for Christmas dinner and mostly likely do the same this year. As much as we love seeing the family, sometime it's nice just to have a dinner for two.

We will be spending the Christmas holidays with our brand new Grat Grandaughter here in town. All 5 of my daughter's kids will be home. My eldest grandson will be back from Scotland with his scottish wife. They are still trying to figure out whether they will live here or Scotland. My son and his brood will probably go to Colorado to go skiing. Last year my son was snowboarding and tryiny to catch some air and tore the he!! out of his right knee. He was off from work for six months. Had a famous ortho that put him together. He is also the ortho for Houston Oilers. My son is not a patient guy, but he followed Drs orders and rehabed his knee. He is also back to almost 100% now.
EVERYBODY please have a Safe and Wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year!! :D :D
