These are mine. The bowie has a 10" blade. The folding one is 40 yrs old. My other bowie I'm not allowed to have until Xmas my son says.

They are all very well made, good using knives. The new bowie I'm getting has a different blade profile, more of a true clip point bowie fighting knife.

I think Schrade was made in USA at one time but maybe not now. Not sure. But they are full tang, hard use knives.

They are what Schrade calls "Staglon" which is nylon that looks kinda like stag. However the new bowie I will have soon has an actual stag handle. The nylon ones are VERY tough though and stand up to lots of abuse, but never look any different than new.

If I am correct, Schrade were made in NY State up until recently. Now I believe all are made in China. If anyone knows for sure, please chime in.

I found this article written in August 2016 by Matt Davidson on this site: http://bestpocketknifetoday.com/schrade-knives/ It talks about where Schrade knives are produced today, and their production facility is now in China.

In the paragraph titled "The Taylor Era," he wrote this comment:

Is the quality good? I have had some nice China made knives. I am sticking to other countries as much as possible though.

The older Schrade knives were made in New York.

My late husband and I had a few of them. The stamp on the knives was easy and clear to read. My late Mom and Dad had several MADE IN NEW YORK knives from various companies many moons ago.

Plus my MT husband had and still owns two or three (?) of them now too. I gifted him one of my late husband's SCHRADE knives which was NIB and Made in New York.

Well I "killed me a bar, when I was only 3" with one....oops that was Davy Crockett....seriously though, they seem to be very well made. Fit and finish is good, and the big ones make great camp knives.

They were made in the USA from 1904-2004. Now there made in China. There are codes on the blade that can tell you when they were made. Not real accurate though. Mine days 80t on it, and that means it was made somewhere between 1964- 1984. Not real precise.

The new bowie knife along side my old bowie knife. Old on the left, new on the right. Different blade profiles. 10" blades, old fashioned frontier style fighting knives, and razor sharp.

My Schrade knives are all American made. Two in the picture are "Old Timer" knives and the other is a "Uncle Henry." A 3-blade stockman style knife has always been my preference for pocket carry and I have carried a pocket knife daily since I was in the 1st grade (they don't allow that in my area public schools now).
