Hey Ernie
How are the new aids working out for you. I was quoted by an audiologist that I know personally at about 4k for hearing aids. I told my wife I know this lady has done me alot of favors but I just cannot come to grips with paying 4k for hearing aids.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Sorry I missed that. I went to Costco yesterday for a 2nd follow up in case I wanted some change in programing or had a problem. i was told they can change programing using my phone without me having to go to the store. I have 5 programs available from my phone. Automatic, quiet, noise, loud noise, and restaurant. Also can fine tune the volume, frequency,( bass and treble), background noise, speech focus and dynamic, (decrease loud or increase soft), and save changes in each program. I have programs also for music and tv that has same controls. I can control which setting I am in and the volume at the aids but I have been doing it with my phone except for some volume adjustment. I have 120 days to return if I don't want them but I can see no down side right now. These are the best aids for me I have owned :D and for $1500 it was worth the 3 weeks wait to get tested. I have Phonak aids but my hearing loss is over 50% and they will recommend the devices best suited for your needs and lifestyle. There is a reason they are the largest distributor of hearing aids in the US.
Please don't tell anyone else about Costco in my area because they are very busy as it is.

They are made by Phonak if the phone app is an indicator but have a Kirkland label.

Try contacting Fit Hearing at 8667361882. Tell Anna I recommended them. I got a pair of Phonak aids for $3200. Aids are great with Bluetooth and are rechargeable. These people will treat you like family. Very professional and answer all inquiries immediately.

I've got tinnitus really bad in my left ear....right is ok. So far I haven't had to get hearing aids but down the road I may need to.

Several months ago I let a local audiologist talked me into hearing aids. They are the starkey brand. I’m not familiar with many others. I do know that I have been incredibly impressed with their performance.

These have numerous settings. I can tune out various types of noise. It does help a lot and being able to hear individual speaking to me. It also has Bluetooth connectivity, so I can listen to my radio and/or talk shows, etc.

What a world of difference. Even water coming out of the tap is noisy. I do really like it. People still think I don’t hear well, because I’m listening to music. Lol.
