Excellent Gene! Your place looks great. Good on you for your donation. I'd say, you certainly deserve that table!

Re: Working In The Yard
Thanks all. I never knew I had a green thumb. Amazing that water and pruning is 99% of the work.
My hanging baskets are at the height to make me stand on my toes and hold a two gallon bucket over my head while it takes a minute to empty. My yard is designed to keep me active. I carried 20 buckets around this afternoon watering under trees where the rain hasn’t reached.
Then I made a few laps around the house and across the new bridge. Then I plinked, then I did more laps and watering.
I am not going to get old and lazy.

Oh the stories that table could tell. Love the way it has aged yet looks to still be structurally solid.
Agreed on the yard exercise program. My place is like yours in that I seem to spend all day walking from one area to another while completing projects. When in the shop the item I need is in the garage and vice versa. Bet I put a mile in every day.

Gene, that is one of the most eclectic yards I have ever seen. It works. Your theory to keep you active and fit makes it just about perfect. I love the part where you can stop and plink and then keep going. That's great.

I like the table Gene but I gotta ask how many people did you gather to move that table around or maybe you had a loader to move it. That thing looks like it weighs a little more than a couple a guys could lift

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

The light isn’t very good here to show all the carving. The park became a park during WWII and was purchased for back taxes. There is still a long term feud and an unsolved murder from the fifties.Hatchdog wrote: ↑Sun Jun 06, 2021 9:26 amOh the stories that table could tell. Thanks. I’m thinking of making a timed course with BB-guns in multiple places. The upper course has obstacles and must be ridden with the pedals in certain positions in certain places.daytime dave wrote: ↑Sun Jun 06, 2021 11:45 amGene, that is one of the most eclectic yards I have ever seen. I wonder that the neighbors think! At first I was trying to be quiet with the plinking. Now I let people hear it at about the same level as I hear neighbor kids playing basketball or tennis. I occasionally hear gunfire too. One is from the noisy basketball kids.

They where loaded with a forklift and unloaded by four strong men. Not only are they heavy they are also hard to pickup. Once at waist level they aren’t not too bad.
