As the year continues I’m still working here and there. Recently a neighbor of18 years moved and could not take everything like these heavy steel and concrete stepping stones. They add a bit of class to my trailer park trash.

I walked around the house today or should I say sogged? With more than three inches of rain in the last 48 hours I needed to check for leaks. The new roof doesn’t leak!

Looks good Gene. I showed my wife these pictures she really like the wheel barrow area and said it was well done.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Thanks. When I told my neighbors what I wanted to do with the beds and wheel barrels they looked at me like I was crazy. Then after I did it everyone liked it.

I bought two more old rusted bicycles yesterday.

They are currently along the south perimeter where people walk and drive by and can get a close look.

Forty more bikes and I’ll have a fence.

The outside kitchen now has a hot and cold running water faucet close by. The other side of the wall and six steps up is the laundry room with a kitchen sink. Still it’s nice to be able to wash your hands frequently while preparing food. This sink means no door handles and no going inside just to wash your hands.

In the winter I turn the water off under the house and drain the lines. Easy to do because the access door is beside the sink and all I do is reach in and turn two knobs.

I now have a functional bridge across my moat. It’s not completed in this picture but the approaches are smother and filled in. All that is left is to landscape around it.

It started with me laying out the suspension beams. I had to remove two shrubs and when I dug some rocks dictated the bridge be at an angle.

Each beam sits on a 2x8x16 slab of concrete.

Then I dumped 50 pounds of Quick-Crete on each end.

This is before the cross boards were put in place. I’ll take a better picture when the landscaping is complete.

I finished the path and now only have the pots to fill with soil and plants.

The original plan was for the bridge to be between the property line but water and utilities run the border and they were in the way. I also have to leave access to the meters. Hence the corner pots which can be moved.

This is the path leading up from the backyard. The picnic table is from Lake Chelan State Park.

State Park Regulations would not allow them to give away state property. The Rangers applied to the Park Commission and they granted special permission to give it to me.

I picked these up three years ago. That was the year I donated $10,000 to the park. Funny how things like that work out.

Some of the $10,000 came from money I made selling t-shirts and firewood in the off season. The rest came out of my pocket.

As a Disabled Veteran I camp for free in Washington State Parks. One year I camped for seven months moving from park to park. At $35-$50 a night I save a ton of money. This year alone I’ll be camping about 20-30 days.
