The deer destroyed the fruit trees, then the flowering plants out front. They ate ALL the flowers and buds off the rose bushes.

We have several does with fawns and a couple big bucks. The game cams have caught them all in action, including the other invaders, fox, possum, coons, and the odd bobcat.
When T decided to put up the back yard fencing for the pup, she decided to go all out. We ordered electric netting, and enclosed the fruit trees inside the 75 x 150 run area. No more deer eating the fruit trees. Sitting up about 2am reading Stephen King (a novel I had read several times before) and the back yard security lights pop on. I put down the kindle and look out the window, a huge fox creeps into view, moving across the back yard between the new fence and the tractor shed toward the range berm, where T suspects they have a den.
He stops, and looks toward the fence.

"Do it!" I think, " Go on... Do it! " Evil of me, I know, but when Tina was raising chickens...

He moves toward the fence, slowly, slowly... Stalking something. Suddenly, he leaps three feet straight up, twists in the air, and bounces across the yard like Tigger on a walk with Pooh. I had tears rolling down my face.
Mr. Fox, meet Mr. Fence.
