As a young kid in the 60's my dad was an International Harvester dealer in North Dakota.
I remember spending some hours on the family's old Cub Cadet tractor. (it wasn't old then).

Now living in Arizona for the large majority of my life, I decided I would like to find an old
Cub Cadet that I could restore or one that was already restored. I finally found a restored one.

It may not seem like a big deal to those from north, Midwest or east but they are somewhat
hard to find around Arizona in any condition. They just don't come up for sale very often around here.

I'm excited to have one! I don't know what I'll do with it! LOL
But it reminds me of my childhood as well as remembering my
Dad who recently passed away. He loved IH, it was in his blood.

Here are a few pictures of my recent purchase. Its a 1963 Cub Cadet, often referred to as "The Original's".

nicely done indeed .... in my wife's home area in South Dakota restoring and collecting vintage tractors has a huge following .... one of her family firends collects Farmall tractors

very cool....my snow blower is a Cub Cadet....distant relation maybe

That is a nicely restored tractor.

I know what you mean about rare in AZ. They are common in the Northeast and middle states. You are lucky to have such a nice example.

Take it to local parades.

Thanks JEBar! Yes, vintage tractors do have a following. My favorite tractor is a Farmall Cub. But its just a little bigger than I can fit at my house.
There is a yearly vintage tractor show not too far me that gets a pretty good turnout.

Thank Dave. Probably rare here in AZ due to lack of grass and gardens. I know it's a little work and gets old, but sometimes I miss mowing a big yard because of the instant sense of accomplishment and it always looks nice when done.

I think you need to pack up and head across country on that tractor like Richard Farnsworth did in the movie.
